Because the ecosystem is directly connected to our everyday life, animal poaching precisely affects
us.
The two major ways poaching affects us is the spread of food-borne illness and lack of natural resources. Both are due to the irregular number of animals that remain in the wild.
The illegal meats that are being sold and bought bring a large health hazard to the public, which results in a greater risk of a food-borne disease outbreak. Poachers don't care about their clients. Therefore, they don't test the meat that they sell, and this can be very dangerous to the whole world.
Poaching also contributes to the depletion of natural resources. For example, our oceans are being threatened by poaching. Our oceans give us climate control and protection, food and wildlife. But these resources could go away because people are illegally poaching fish! This is just one of many examples of our natural resources being depleted due to poaching.
